The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to help shape the financial backbone of Playnetic—a fast-growing gaming studio bringing high-quality slot games to regulated markets worldwide.

You’ll be the guardian of our financial integrity: ensuring accurate accounting records, compliant tax filings, smooth payroll execution, and efficient payment and banking operations. Your work will strengthen our internal controls, reduce risk, and support scalable growth as we expand into new markets.

This role is all about impact. You’ll provide reliable financial insights that keep our operations running smoothly and help the business move quickly without sacrificing precision. You’ll also collaborate closely with teams across multiple locations, continuously improving processes to boost efficiency and transparency.

You’ll report to our Head of Finance, Despina, who leads with autonomy, trust, and clarity—no micromanagement, just support and collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing

Financial Accounting & Records Management

• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely accounting records, ensuring completeness and alignment with organisational financial policies.
• Execute vendor and employee payments while safeguarding proper authorization and internal controls.

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Lead the preparation, reconciliation, and submission of VAT returns, ensuring accuracy of supporting documentation and adherence to statutory deadlines.

Payroll Administration

• Oversee end-to-end payroll preparation, including data validation, calculation checks, and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment and tax regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with global and local finance, HR, banking, and operational teams to support financial processes, clarify accounting requirements, and resolve discrepancies, promoting consistent standards across regions.

Process Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement enhancements to accounting workflows, payment cycles, and payroll processes to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and support the organization’s strategic financial objectives.

Compliance, Controls & Standards

• Ensure all accounting activities comply with internal policies, audit standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and maintaining strong governance over financial processes, including bank account openings.

Required Skills & Experience

✅ 5+ years in accounting or finance roles

✅ Strong expertise in accounting processes, financial reporting, and controls

✅ Proven ability to manage workflows, optimize processes, and ensure compliance

✅ Experience working in a global, hybrid environment

✅ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills

Preferred Qualifications
